World coffee exports -Febuary 09

World coffee exports amounted to 7.36 million bags in August 2008, compared with 7.78 million in August last year. Exports in the first 11 months of coffee year 2007/08 (Oct-07 to Aug-08) have decreased by 4.5% to 86.6 million bags compared to 90.7 million bags in the same period in the last coffee year. In the twelve months ending August 2008, exports of Arabica totalled 61.2 million bags compared to 63.9 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 32.6 million bags compared to 34.2 million bags.
